Whether it’s chocolate covered strawberries or key lime pie, I love desserts! However, not all desserts are created equal. Like many people, I enjoy something a little sweet after dinner, and typically sip on a cup of chocolate chia tea. Here’s another way to cure a chocolate craving or sweet tooth with a healthy, fulfilling delightful dessert!
There are several recipes for Avocado Chocolate Mousse. This is one I’ve perfected over a couple of years and only uses three ingredients. It’s for one serving. You’ll need a half of an avocado, coconut sugar and cocoa powder. Make sure the avocado is ripe or this recipe won’t work. Start by mashing the avocado with a fork in a bowl until it’s almost creamy. Then add two tablespoons of coconut sugar and three teaspoons of cocoa powder. Mix all of the ingredients together. You can always add more coconut sugar if it’s not sweet enough for you! Then use a spoon to whip the mixture to a creamier texture. Once you get the creaminess you like, dig in to the chocolate goodness. Bon Appétit!
